The plot thickens!
The Chief Priests were in Charge of the Temple and had
influence with the Roman authorities. They had little influence on the
common people.
Pharisees had influence with the common people. The Chief Priests and Pharisees join to
appose Jesus.
It
was not time for Jesus to die.
The Chief
Priests and Pharisees send Temple Guards to arrest Jesus.
"Jesus said, 'I am with you for only a short time, and then I go to
the
one who sent me.'"
(John 7:33)
The
people were confused!
Where is he going that we
cannot find him?
What does he mean when he ways
'Where I am you cannot come."
